Our deepest sympathies to Norma and the McIntosh Clan, Steven, Stuart, Greg, Colin and Caroline and their families on the passing of Bruce. He was most proud of his childrens’ achievements.
Bruce made a significant contribution to community organisations and the union movement through his elected executive positions in the Australian Services Union and to the employees of the SECV as secretary of the SECV Appeals and Grievances Committee. He was highly regarded for his wisdom, advice and integrity by fellow employees.
He was a great friend to all who had the pleasure to associate with him.
We will all miss his friendship.

R.I.P. Bruce, Dad, Pop
Tonight we said farewell to our dear old Dad (as he liked to be called) after a short illness.
Surrounded by all those that loved him. His wife, children, step children, daughter-in-laws, son-in-law and grandchildren, a testament to the person he was.
Our hearts our broken and our lives will never be the same, but he is at rest now with Mum (Val), his son Phil and daughter-in-law Ruth, among many other family and friends that have passed.
You were so strong and stoic… you gave it your best.
Such a privilege to be with you at the end of your journey as you were for the beginning of mine…
As Pooh bear said:
How lucky was I to have something that meant saying good bye was so hard.
We love and miss you ….

So many fond memories of our time in Balwyn.
Bruce and Val were my second parents and both had such a positive influence in my life, as did Steven, Stuart, Phil, Greg, Colin and Caz.
Wish I could have been there in person with you today.
Thinking of you Steven, Stuart, Greg, Colin , Caz, Norma and family’s
Being a longtime scouting pen friend of Greg’s, we mainly remember Bruce insisting on our family staying with him in his Melbourne home for a few days before flying out to see Greg in the outback. He made us so welcome and had to take us to Victoria Market. We only met a few other times, but each time he greeted us as old friends. He was a a wonderful man and I know he will be greatly missed by family and friends. From the non-related Kiwi Mcintosh’s
1st Balwyn (2nd Camberwell North) Scout Group mourns the loss of an enthusiastic and respected supporter. Parent, committee member and mentor, Bruce was always helping the group behind the scenes and ferrying Scouts around.
I recall the Hilman wagon parked in Kalimna Street, and particularly fondly remember my involvement with Steve in Scouts and Phil in Rovers.
Sincere condolences to the Norma, Steve, Stuart, Greg, Colin, Caroline and the extended McIntosh family.
