Our amazing neighbour and friend, Betty,
A beautiful lady of courage, independence and strength who always was cheerful and had a smile on her face, and never complained.
She will truly be missed.
Will miss sharing our bush walks with Betty, via Skype. She spread joy with her cheerful nature and kind heart. Her hand knitted gifts were amazing.
Sending much love to Michele, Marilyn and the family.

Fond memories of Betty, most precious, loved mother of Robyn (dec), Marilyn and Michele. Betty was very much the central figure in a large and close-knit family and although spread out around Australia, all gathered around her in times of joy and sadness. Her spirit and faith were strong and she gave freely of her time to create her legendary, beautiful crocheted and knitted pieces for those less fortunate. Her smile was bright and welcoming and a gift to be remembered: and it will be. The legacy she leaves behind include her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, all whom honour her with their love and respect.
Sincere and heartfelt sympathy to all of her family.

In memory of the remarkable and beloved Betty. She was beautiful in every way and embraced and loved our family. May her spirit live for ever and inspire us for many generations to come. In Africa, we say she is not gone, but has joined the ancestors that protect us and give meaning to life. Rest in peace beautiful Betty and lots of hugs to Michele on this very sad day, but one which celebrates the life of an absolute legend who will always be in our thoughts. I am so sorry that I cannot be there in person, but will be thinking of you all xxx

Vale Betty,
Fondest love to Michele, Marilyn and all of Betty’s family and loved ones. Betty was strong, insightful, charming, funny and warm. Her generous approach to life reflected her faith in a deep and genuine way that will remain an inspiration to us all. We are blessed to have known her xxxx
Our hearts are heavy as we reflect on the life of an extraordinary woman, Betty. Throughout our 39 years as neighbours, Betty’s infectious laughter and unwavering optimism for life left an indelible mark on our lives. Betty had a remarkable ability to bring laughter to any occasion and a deep-rooted optimism that inspired us all. Her love for her family was boundless, and she took immense pride in sharing their adventures and achievements.
Betty found solace and joy in her passion for knitting and crochet, bringing to life beautiful creations,
but it was the friendships she formed along the way truly enriched her life.
Betty’s voyages across the Pacific on cruise ships were filled with breathtaking experiences and the forging of lifelong friendships. Her commitment to her parish was unwavering, and it was through this dedication that she found a community of cherished friends.
Betty’s remarkable presence brought happiness to all for a century. As we bid her farewell, we find solace in knowing that her spirit will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will forever treasure the countless memories and strive to emulate her profound love for life.
May Betty rest in eternal peace.
