My darling Mum, what can I say?
You brought me to life, surrounded me with love and security, taught me how to nurture, to care for others, to read emotions, and helped me be the person I am today.
You were always the most beautiful woman in the world to me.
You were always there in good times and in sad times.
You were a rock in a storm.
I have so many memories of you being there, teaching me how to sew, cook, be patient and tolerant of others.
You were the most wonderful Mum, a best friend and the world is a much sadder place without you.
I love you and I miss you.
Knowing you are dancing with Dad again keeps me going.
Until we meet again Mum, know that you were loved and valued always.
    Sharon

  3. ANNA SANDERS says:

Aunty Lil, you were and always will be, the fun loving lady who always had an open door to all your family and friends.
Smells from your kitchen, and lounge watching tv as a child, which always had a seat and unconditional love and support even on hot summer days when silly me and my bike had a flat tyre, you’d give me a nice cold drink and something to eat.
As amazing uncle Allan would take my bike and fix my tyre so I could ride home again…but you’d say to uncle Allan “too hot for me to ride home” … uncle put the bike in the car and drive me and my friend home to mums.
Days calling in to visit you and Mathew and Sharon, Paul, Dean, Fran and kids when I was younger will be days I will treasure the most, as back in the old days it was called family and we would always catch-up with you and family somewhere between Bendigo and Castlemaine …
days I will always remember til I see you and uncle Alan and boys again.
God bless angel above, please say ‘hello’ to uncle Alan and the boys and wacky Nan Barbara.
    Anna xxxx

  4. Matt Constable says:

    Mum,
Thank you for being the best Mum and Grandma that could ever be.

I will always remember how dedicated you were to me as a younger child with older siblings.
I think back now at how much I took you for granted with everything you did for me – you were the most consistent thing in my life.
I will always hold fond memories of you never missing a twilight cricket game when I first started playing all those years ago.
You were always scoring and engaged in the running of the team on match days and were a constant source of encouragement for me no matter whether I did well or, as was the norm, didn’t.

You always made sure I had what I needed through all stages of my life and I look back fondly on those “discussions” we had when I first wanted to move out of home to be with the love of my life.
They were honest and rooted in your deep love for me and a want to make sure I would always be safe and happy.
In the end it turned out well and I am still with, and always will be, my wonderful wife Annette….just like you and Dad always were until we lost him a few weeks before you.
Thankfully, you eventually accepted Annette into the family and loved her as much as any of us, and I know you were proud of the two beautiful grandchildren we gave you; Taylor and Bradman. We all love you in death as we did in life and take so many beautiful memories from our time with you.

It is strange without either you or Dad here now, two of my constants gone.
I think of both of you often and sometimes catch myself while thinking about when I will visit you next.
I guess that will pass with time and acceptance.

I’m not spiritual or religious in any way and I “believe” I will neither see nor talk to you ever again, but as a man of science it would be remiss of me not to ask “What if I am wrong?”…and so, in case I am wrong, I write this so that you will know that I still care…and while you’re at it give my love to Dad, Paul and Dean.

    Matt(hew)
