Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Cameron, Kirsti and all of the family on the passing of lovely Barry.
He was a true gentleman in every sense and we cared for him deeply.
He was always a calm, warm and comforting presence at ‘Dig’, sitting contentedly with his cappuccino, reading his latest book.
He will be greatly missed.
With love from Lynsey and Robyn xxx
Condolences to you Kirsti and your family.

I have very fond memories of Barry ‘trying’ to teach us ceramics, back in the 1980s, he also gave me my grounding/introduction to Art History.
Barry got along well with his students and other teachers, he was highly regarded, admired and respected by most.
Generations of students have been inspired and influenced by this talented craftsman.
Condolences to the family and friends.

Memories of my cousin Barry.
My father Jim Allan was an early mentor to Barry and a major influence on Barry’s creative career.
My mother was the youngest sibling of Bill, Barry’s father. I am the proud owner of some of Barry’s pots.

A well remembered teacher who was a go to for a chat about not only school but also growing up right.
Also influential and successful Wesley Hill junior footy coach late 60’s early 70’s – once again not only footy but influenced important growing up years – thanks Baz.

What an amazing service!
And perhaps “The Dash” reading has influenced me to give me that push to follow my creative side.
I remember my sister Tammy coming home from school and telling us what fun she had in ceramics.
Such a wonderful influence for so many.
