Dear Betty,
My wonderful next door neighbour of twelve years.
I will miss our little chats out the front of your unit.
You were such a bright and interesting person.
Lots of love

Betty,
Thank you for being such a great neighbour, for your laugh and your sense of humour, for teaching me how to prune roses properly, for being a gardening-guru to so many of us!
I will miss seeing you sitting on your front porch or pottering in your garden.
You were a gem.

Dear Betty,
You have always been part of the fabric of Agitation Hill and the church. I have already missed your presence at church meetings and will miss you at study groups. I shall miss you running, then supervising the plant stall at the fete. You were always just there at Crawford Close. Rest in Peace
Condolences to Betty’s family. Fascinating lady, adventurous and knowledgeable. A great loss. Regards. Ronder Clayton (taxi driver)
Sad to hear Betty has died, while I was away. So sorry Julie and family.
Betty was one of those wonderful local intellects, always ready for a chat, no holds barred, short and to the point. A very strong woman, unafraid to speak her mind on a wide range of topics.
Castlemaine will miss her deeply.
I will always love you mum.
Thank you for everything. For life itself!
Thank you for your deep faith in the Divine, your trust in goodness and Love.
Showing a true respect for Beauty and Nature.
You chose your words carefully and spoke clearly.
You connected with people, learning and teaching.
We carry your memories.
You showed us Love.
Some of my best childhood memories were doing a ‘bob-a-job’ around her house or stopping in after I finished work at Bailes Chemist and a lot of weekends most people would have got tired of all of us kids always being there. She is the most amazing woman I think I ever came across. I think back on those days and smile to myself. Thank you Betty. Hope you are doing well Julie.
