Robert was the loving brother of Jeffery who he
supported and encouraged in childhood and remained a supporting presence for the rest of his life.
Bob was a generous and intelligent man with a profound love of the natural world. His sense of humour and shared love of music will be particularly missed.
Such a significant part of our extended family, his presence will endure in memories of his unique ways of going about things.
Anecdotes of Bob’s exploits are firmly entrenched in our family history.
– Peter Judson, Kelsey and Aaron and Annie Murrell
I first met Bob Murrell when he was mine warden at Castlemaine.
I came across Bob when he was investigating a new drilling in the Spring Gully area where I lived at that time.
Our paths would cross many times from then on.
I very much enjoyed seeing Bob through his life and I am sorry he has gone.
A life well lived and shared generously with his family.
