Mary-other granny – The first time we met I ran into granny Molly’s house, gave you a hug and said ‘hi granny!’ I went to the fridge, raided everything like normal and walked into the living room to see who I thought was granny sitting there. In my head I thought ‘wow that was quick how did she move so fast’ (knowing granny was slow.) Then hiding around the corner was Mary smiling away. The only way to tell them apart was the cheeky smile. Although the time I spent was very short, it has always felt like I’ve had a second granny. You will be missed and sending all my love and support to all our Aussie family.

To my dearest Aunty Mary, you may not know this, but you were like a second grandmother to me. When I was growing up in Esk, you were always there, steady, kind, and present in ways that shaped my childhood more than I can ever fully explain.
Your love wasn’t loud or showy, but it was constant. You had a way of making me feel seen and cared for simply by being around. The time I spent with you helped form the person I am today. Your presence gave me roots, gave me comfort, and gave me the quiet kind of wisdom that stays with me still.
You were such an important part of my early years, and I will always carry that with me. To me, you weren’t just my great aunt, you were family in the truest sense of the word. A guiding hand, a warm heart, and a memory I will always hold close.
Thank you, Aunty Mary, for being such a vital part of my life.

I love you Gul.
It feels really strange without you here.
I miss everything about you, your smile, your laugh, your hugs and kisses, and it’s only been one week.
You mean the world to me, and I’ll always carry you in my heart.
I can’t wait till we meet again.
See you in my dreams.
Love always,
Your Molly xoxoxo
