I treasure the many happy hours I spent in Hazel’s company. She was so kind and generous and smart and funny. She had so many great stories to tell about life in Castlemaine in days gone by. She was an amazing gardener, always ready to put together a boiquet of gorgeous flowers. Vale, dearest Hazel.

My thoughts and sympathy are with you all.
Sadly, I am unable to attend today’s farewell gathering as my back is not cooperating, as did Hazel’s.

I’m deeply saddened by Hazel’s passing.
I grew up next door to Hazel and her family and was a semi-permanent fixture at her immaculately kept house as a kid.
I was always so warmly welcomed and looked after by this lovely lady.
My thoughts go to dear Leonie, Megan and Tracey.

Dear Hazel,
It was an absolute pleasure to get to know you and spend quality time chatting with you.
Thanks for all the news you would share with us, gardening tips and hints for Movies you would like to watch…most all for making us laugh when we needed it.
We already miss seeing you on a day to day basis.
Much love Rebecca, Marianne and Mark (Your Lifestyle Team)
Darling mum,
I have been looking back over the photos of our long years together, remembering the garden at McGrath St and our ‘midnight flit’ to get the stag horn, again at Unit 2, the watering system Shane put in so that you could keep your beautiful garden, the couple of years before Arcare living with you, and working from home at your place during COVID…how lucky I have been to spend the last years of your life with you, cooking and laughing,
I don’t know what I will do on Sundays, I’ve been so used to spending them with you.
Goodbye darling mummy….Megan
Dear Hazel,
I’ll miss you at roast lamb Christmas, Easter, Mothers Day, birthdays and any other day we got together, the Chinese takeaways, the lists of jobs, the hunt for black and gold Panadol.
Rest in peace with Frank.
Shane
So sad to lose a wonderful neighbour in Maldon Rd.
Hazel’s room at Arcare became the place to share our stories, laughs and grouches over the past couple of years, and it was comforting to know she loved the staff and they loved her.
I’ll really miss her positive, no nonsense attitude to life. No time for whingers!
I have such happy memories of her.
