I will miss your hugs, your voice, laughing with you and every moment I got to share with you.
Thank you for loving me even when sometimes I never deserved it, being the most amazing papa to Oakley.

  5. Georgia Ely says:

My dad was my rock, my heart, and my first love. He was the first person who showed me what it means to work hard, love deeply, and enjoy what you do.
He taught me everything from how to drive a manual car and to never be afraid to take a leap and give something a go.
He loved unconditionally, supported me endlessly, and inspired me to become the person I am today.
Every time I look in the mirror, I see him and I’m proud to carry on his legacy.
Dad, a piece of me went with you, but I’ll keep showing up, working hard, and making you proud just like you taught me.
Until we meet again, I’ll always be your little girl.
I will love you forever and I will forever miss you until we are together again,
    Your baby girl, George

  6. Kerry Briggs says:

Jody was the kind of person who gave his time, his laughter, and his love.
He was hardworking, loyal and ready to help anyone in need.
His presence could fill a room, not through words alone, but through the quiet strength and genuine care he showed to others.
To my cousin, Jody was not only a husband but your greatest gift, your partner, protector and your best friend.
He gave you the world and made you truly happy which was such an honour to see.
Your love was something rare and beautiful.
Jody’s passing was far too soon, the impact of Jody’s life will live on in every heart he touched.
His kindness, humour and his deep love for his family will never be forgotten.
We say goodbye with heavy hearts, but also with gratitude, for the privilege of having known him.
    May he rest in peacefully.
Thank you Jody for truly making my cousin have a happy life.
    Kerry xx

  9. Tianna says:

My dad was truly one of a kind. There will never be another person like him someone so full of life, passion, and heart. He had this spark about him, this energy that drew people in. Whether it was talking about his latest project, heading out on the motorbike, or getting the jet boat ready for another race. Dad lived every moment to the fullest.

He loved anything with an engine, and you could always count on him to be tinkering with something, usually with a grin on his face and a story to tell. But beyond his love for motorbikes, cars and boats, what made Dad so special was his spirit. He had a big heart, a strong presence, and a way of making everyone feel like they mattered.

He taught me so much not just about life, but about strength, loyalty and having a good laugh even when things get tough. Losing him has left a space that nothing can ever fill, but his love and lessons will always stay with me.

Dad, you were my rock, my role model, and my greatest teacher. You gave so much of yourself to everyone around you, and I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to live with the same passion and courage that you did.

You’ll always be with me in every ride, every wave, every sunset. I love you forever Dad.
    Love Tarnie xx

  10. Sharon Maddison says:

Jody you were taken too early, thank you for being a wonderful partner to my daughter and father to my grandchildren.
You were an amazing, loving and generous person, always sharing your time with those you cared for.
You will be sadly missed but never forgotten, you will always remain in our hearts, and all the memories you helped to create will be treasured forever.
    May you find eternal peace.
    Sharon

  11. Taylah Ely says:

    To my dearest Dad,
As your firstborn, I feel so deeply honoured, blessed and proud to have shared so many years with you.
Years full of beautiful memories I’ll carry with me forever. Without you and Mum, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
I truly couldn’t have asked for better parents.
There won’t be a single day that I don’t think of you, your laugh, your humour, your warmth.
You are one in a million.
Every time I hear a Nickelback song, I’ll think of you.
And when I watch cars, I know you’ll be right there watching with me..You loved that movie a lot. Ka-chow.
Until we meet again, my beautiful Dad, I’ll love you and miss you for the rest of my days.
From your one and only Guppie.

  13. Dean Katajala says:

Jody, you were more than just a client.
You were a friend I respected deeply.
We shared the same interests and the same straight-up attitude to life.

    I’ll miss you mate.
    Dean Katajala

  14. Cameron Bell says:

Jody, from the very first day I met you, you welcomed me straight into your family.
I never thought this day would come so quickly. You weren’t just a great father figure to your kids, you were the man who always had the answers.
Even when I felt embarrassed asking questions, you somehow made me feel comfortable, accepted, and always welcome. That was one of your greatest traits.
I’ll never forget the group FaceTime calls with you and Tianna while I was on the road, and I won’t forget the last time we spoke.
Every moment with you was a good one.
We’d drink until sunset and straight through to midnight with the scotch, those memories will stay with me forever.
I’ll also never forget the last time I saw you.
It could’ve honestly been the best Jody Show you put on, trying to figure out the TV and then proudly showing me the “five foot of air” you reckoned you got.
I still had questions I wanted to ask you, but I’m sure you’ll answer them in your own way when the time comes.
You’re going to be missed Jody, not just by me but by everyone who was lucky enough to enjoy your company.
    Scotch buddy (Cameron).

We have only known Jody and Belinda for a short time.
Jody was the dad to our nephew Mark after the loss of his own dad.
Mark was treated like a son, and Mark could not speak highly of him.
We were privileged to have spent time with him at Mark and Hayley’s wedding. What a true gentleman.
Always laughing and putting whoever was there with him at ease.
    Taken way to early.
