Many special memories of your time in Strath to behold and keep in our hearts.

Dear Joanie,
It was our privilege to meet you and John recently whilst camping at Dunkeld. It didn’t take us long to realise what a devoted couple you were and what a lovely, quiet, thoughtful and caring man John was. Hearing of his passing saddened us greatly but it made our recent visit to see you and John, at your lovely home in Harcourt, even more special.
Our thoughts are with you Joanie at this very difficult time. We look forward to continuing our friendship.
With love, Janine and Peter
John
An upright and righteous man
Who lived as he believed
And in doing so shone a light
wheresoever he may have been.
On a feast of Mary was he born
And a man more like St Joseph
You may not meet in all your life
Steadfast, true and just.
John, Joanie, Darren and Sharee
Together formed a family
Others came and joined these four
Now we have to bid farewell to one
Who loved with all his heart God, Joanie
And his family.
Through his excruciating pain
John still made time
He helped me more than I could say
A listening ear that understood
A quiet voice with wisdom in his words
Thank you John for all you were
All you did and all your puns
My eyes still fill with tears
As I think of you leaving your
Beloved Joanie, Darren and family.
But I know that you are with your
Beloved Sharee.
Love you John and your love surely blessed me
Christina
A truly beautiful man. RIP. Our love and thoughts are with you all. May every memory you hold bring a smile.
We have been so richly blessed in knowing John, in having the privilege to walk some of life’s journey with both John and Joanie, the valleys and the mountain tops, with both tears and joy. He shared his gentleness, strength and warmth with so many of us as he showed his faith in actions. The saying…grief is the price you pay for love…is so poignant and true. To Joanie, Darren and family, we offer our love and prayers to you at this time, with the comfort and peace of knowing John is now with his precious daughter Sharee. It is said that life resembles a tapestry. On the underside there is a jumble of colours and threads which seem to have no purpose, but when we turn it over, we can see the finished picture showing God’s plan and purpose for John’s life. We give thanks for the beautiful, rich tapestry that was John’s life. Forever in our hearts Kevin and Gail Schneider.
To Joanie and family
A kind and generous man. Our salvation when we moved to Harcourt his pump explanations and repairs were a life saver!! Always available when needed. A true gentleman.
Goodbye for now cousin John. You are leaving us all with very fond memories of a kind, loving and gentle man. Rest with your Sharee, free from pain. With much love to Joanie, Darren and family – Catherine xxxxx
Thinking of you Aunty Joan and family in the passing of an incredible man in my uncle, your husband, father, poppy, pa.
Now at peace with my beautiful cousin Sharee.
R.I.P. Uncle.
Dear Joanie, My deepest sympathy to you on the passing into Life of your beloved John. You were an inspirational couple. It was always “Joanie and John”. May you be carried in the arms of our Saviour through this transition time. My prayers are with you, and Darren, Stacie and their children. I have had the blessing of watching the livestream of the Mass of Thanksgiving. Your flowers looked superb. I loved the Psalm and the other readings. God is indeed good. John was one of those blessed people who have lived every one of the beautiful qualities mentioned at their funeral and celebrated in the chosen Scriptures.
I think of the Tolleys every time I drive up the “back way” through Sutton Grange on my way to Bendigo. Blessings and Love to you all.
To Dear Joan, Darren and family
What beautiful memories we have of John, such a dear friend we first met across the road in Wandin. Always willing to help Brian when he needed any pump repairs on the farm, so kind and caring. Now free of pain and reunited with his beautiful daughter Sharee. Rest In Peace dear John.
Love from Brian, Alice, Grant, Kylie, Justin and Shannyn.
