Shirley passed away peacefully at Jessie Bowe House, Maldon Hospital on 23rd August 2023, aged 88 years
with her children by her side.
Loving wife of Ray Higgins (dec) and Jim Curnow (dec).
Adored mother of Ross and Janet Higgins.
Mum, your life was full of friendly deeds,
always thoughtful of ours and other’s needs,
cheerful, generous, unselfish and kind,
what a lovely memory to leave behind.
A service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held in the Church of Christ, Blakeley Road, Castlemaine
on Wednesday 6th September commencing at 1.30pm.

I was saddened when I was told “Shirley has gone up to cut your mothers hair”, something she had done for many years.
Shirley was a dear friend to my mum who so loved Shirls’ visits and the conversations about the old days and all the families who lived in Winters Flat.
