Grandma,
I will remember you constantly in normal life; when buying something on special, getting secondhand clothing, see a stack of newspapers or on my youngest daughter’s birthday. You always refused to spell her name correctly, in your mind apostrophes had no place in a name, so I always added it to her birthday cards afterwards, without you knowing. She has always loved hearing this story about you, it makes her giggle.
As an adult, I was told about a Tim Tam slam. Lots of people said they were amazing. I didn’t really know what they were talking about, but as they explained how you bit the diagonal corners off a Tim Tam, then use it as a straw, memories started coming back to me. Grandma taught me this! I never really liked it, but I remember doing it in the kitchen a couple of times with Stuart beside me. Grandma would be pouring the orange juice while we were biting the corners off the Tim Tams.
That’s where the story takes a turn though. Apparently your suposed to use warm milk, it melts the insides of the biscuits and it becomes a delicious gooey mess. I mean it makes more sense than orange juice…but that was Grandma, a little bit weird and quirky, always doing things her own way, with what she had at the time.
I love you grandma, always and forever – Tara
We will miss you Grandma Edith.
We already have lots of splits in the freezer and will think of you each time we eat one.
Don’t worry…they were on special.
– Alpha, Omayga & Mi’laya

Sympathies to the Welch family.
We ….Gary, Dianne, Wendy & Stephen have fond memories of the old boys picnic held every Australia Day, Edith and Bobby were always there.
I can remember there were hundreds of screaming kids and lots of grog and bad Dad jokes.

We spent many days having a laugh up at Barham or around Castlemaine. We will miss her.
