I pay tribute to a valued friend and a first class ‘Antarctician’. We wintered at Casey Station in 1976.
I am forever grateful to you for stepping forward and joining our four month spring traverse as electronic engineer. Temperatures to -50C, blizzards, crevasses, basic living conditions as we traveled ~1,000 km south of Casey onto the ice cap plateau rising to 2,000 m.
Leon, may the wind be at your back and the sun on your face.
Deepest regret to Leon’s Family and Menya

    He is missed.

Great work mate during the CFA years, promise to stay in contact and the years passed. An accidental click on a web page was meant to be.
Fond memories and great times, we were a great team.
