Our prayers and thoughts are with you dear Menya on the loss of your partner Leon . The love and care you gave to Leon on his last journey together is the greatest gift another can give . I now hope that all the family and friends will embrace you with their care to carry you forward to the next pathway of your life.
Couldn’t have loved him more.. you both have meant so very much to my family. Leon will be very missed.
Sending love, hugs & prayers to you for peace.
I pay tribute to a valued friend and a first class ‘Antarctician’. We wintered at Casey Station in 1976.
I am forever grateful to you for stepping forward and joining our four month spring traverse as electronic engineer. Temperatures to -50C, blizzards, crevasses, basic living conditions as we traveled ~1,000 km south of Casey onto the ice cap plateau rising to 2,000 m.
Leon, may the wind be at your back and the sun on your face.
Deepest regret to Leon’s Family and Menya
A pleasure to deal with, loved Leon’s humour!
Thinking of you Menya.

Sincere sympathy to Menya,
I recall fondly Leon’s way of getting things done.
The Flagpole in Stanley Park will stand as a reminder of Leon…
I enjoyed Leon’s stories of his time in Antarctica.
He is missed.

Great work mate during the CFA years, promise to stay in contact and the years passed. An accidental click on a web page was meant to be.
Fond memories and great times, we were a great team.
