Fond memories of Shirley at Malvern and Brighton Theatre companies – I Stage Managed many of her plays.
She was a kind and generous lady with a wicked sense of humour – and never short of praise for a job well done.
I’ll never forget “Moon over Buffalo” at Brighton!
Farewell Shirley.
Annie Grant.
Shirley made a huge contribution to theatre in general, and our lives.
She will be so sadly missed.

Dear Bernie, Mandy, Andrew and families
Thinking of you all at this sad time.
We hold close to our hearts many beautiful memories of Shirley Fitch, a lovely, witty and kind auntie to Sally and Ian, and great aunt to Ben and Emily.
Irrepressible and irreplaceable!

I first met Shirley fleetingly in her Beaumaris Theatre Group Days.
We reconnected through Carer Support Castlemaine, Goldfields Quilters, and Castlemaine Embroiderers Guild.
A wonderful warm delightful human who will be missed.

Shirley was a wonderful, loving and very special friend.
I remember appearing in Elwood Theatre’s “Salad Days” many moons ago and Shirley was also part of the cast.
She was so bright and vivacious, both onstage and off. As well as her role onstage, Shirley’s sewing and dressmaking skills also came to the fore as she found the time to assist the wardrobe people in making sure all our costumes were perfectly fitted and looked “just right”.
Our friendship continued away from the theatre, and I always enjoyed our chats over the phone.
Despite whatever was going on in our own lives, our conversations were always peppered with plenty of laughs.
You were a very dear friend Shirley and you’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
