The caring work of Mount Alexander Funerals covers the areas of Bendigo, Castlemaine, Central Victoria and Melbourne.
We are currently looking to employ a person to join us in our head office in Castlemaine.
We are seeking a person who has a warm, caring and empathetic manner, and who will support us in offering only the best in client services. Strong communication skills and a high level of personal presentation is essential. Attention to the finest detail, at all times, is very important.
This person would support and work closely with our funeral director, and would be responsible for the day to day operation of our office. Duties would include the following: attending to front reception, answering the telephone, greeting clients, co-ordinating and organising of funeral paperwork, proofing of all death and funeral newspaper notices, production and printing of service booklets, presentation of our premises (cleaning), assisting at times with the presentation of our vehicles (again cleaning), occasionally assisting with catering duties after a funeral service.
The successful person must have the ability to work independently when required.
Our computers are Apple Mac, therefore it is essential to have a good operating knowledge of these computers. We produce and print all of our own service booklets, for these we use Swift publishing.
Employment will be between the hours of 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, however at busier times there may be a need for some flexibility in working additional hours. Our work at times can be demanding, but very rewarding.
