Bert was such a lovely man. A true gentleman. A great family man. A keen sense of humour. Always ready to help others. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him..

  4. Denise Leech says:

    To my favourite Uncle,
Of all the many blessings however great or small.
To have had you for a Uncle was the greatest one of all.
The family chain is broken now, and nothing will seems the same.
But as God takes us one by one the chain will link again.
You are together now with Cec and Joyce so lots of stories to tell.
    Love You
    Denise Lorna xx

  5. Amanda Toomey says:

    My Dad….
He’s always there when I need him,
ready to talk or give advice,
on simple matters or just the way of life.
Remember the lounge room, Old Timers and Run Rabbit Run,
special memories of our childhood fun.
Growing tomatoes, driving trucks and chopping wood,
for our family, Dad did the best he could.
    Loved, warm and well fed,
funny three bears stories before bed.
Teenage years and growing up with Dad by my side,
a guiding hand, encouraging and showing pride.
If something is broken, be it big or small,
My Dad…he’ll fix it, no worries at all.
I’m grown up now, but Dad’s still there,
ready to listen, our jokes and stories we share.
Of my Dad I am forever proud,
his kindness and strength – “they broke the mold”
Nobody else could ever have my Dad’s heart of gold.
    (Written 1998 for Father’s Day)
REMEMBERING YOU ALWAYS MY DARLING DAD,
    Min xxxxxx
