David was a great friend for over 45 years.
He was a well respected teacher for all of his working life.

  3. Wayne Matthews says:

The Tyranny of Distance will not allow us to attend David’s service but we will certainly be viewing the live stream.
We had the pleasure of having David and his family in our lives for the last 40 years.
From the numerous golf trips, football matches between our beloved Pies and Bombers, visits to the Cowes holiday home, Kennington Mens nights and 4 years of working together at KPS we shared many a beautiful memory.
When I took on a massive task of building my home David was a fantastic help. His Saturdays with my father and I were legendary. A couple of stubbies and some sandwiches in his lunchbox were his tools of trade.
I also had the pleasure of teaching David’s daughter Claire in her early school years.
When David entered Strathhaven we still shared the occasional port.
You were a true gentleman and it was a great honour to have you as a dear friend for so long.
You will be sadly missed by all.
    Wayne and Michele Matthews.
