Dad, I’m finding it hard to say goodbye. Fifty five years ago we were separated, not by choice but by circumstance. It broke my heart then, it’s breaking my heart now. Even though our lives took different paths, you were always my hero. I never stopped loving you. Thankfully in the last part of our lives we were able to see more of each other and our bond grew. Rest in peace now with Valerie, together again. Thank you for being a loving father in law to Made and grandfather to Aaron. They adore you and will miss you always. I won’t say goodbye because I know you’ll always be with me.
    Love you Dad.

  2. Allison Freeman says:

Dad, you were always there for me.
You could wave a magic wand and things would seem better.
I’m so very grateful that you had time to spend with me, Mike, Claire, Gus and Molly.
The kids miss you as do Mike and I.
I’m very pleased you’re reunited with mum. I bet she’s happy to see you.
Not good bye, but see you on the flip side.
    Allison xxx

  3. Marg Dennis says:

Ian, it was wonderful to hear the story of your life, such a hard worker and the love you had for Valerie was so evident.

Though we only knew you both a relatively short time it was always great to catch up with you and share our grandchildren Claire, Gus and Molly.
    Thank you.
    Marg and Rick Dennis
