The Officers and Members of The Country Fire Authority, Wodonga Fire Brigade, are saddened by the passing of Trudi and wish that Gary and his family accept some of our memories of Trudi, that may in some way, soften their grief. 13. Stephen Skurka says:

Dear Gary, Darron, Jason and family,
Our hearts are with you. We are so, so sorry.
Trudi was the warmth and the laughter in my childhood, and she shaped me more than she probably ever knew. Where Mum was the one keeping us in line, Trudi had a way of making you feel completely loved and accepted, just as you were. That meant everything to me growing up.
I feel so lucky that I got to spend time with Trudi last December. I will hold those memories close for the rest of my life.
She touched all of us deeply and we are all heartbroken. It is so hard being so far away right now and not being able to be there to say goodbye to her with you.
We will be thinking of you every moment.
    All our love,
    Steve, Olivia, Matilda and Brock

  17. Michael and Mikayla Skurka says:

    Dear Trudi and Gary,
We have so many fun memories of staying with you on the farm. We spent so long choosing our favourite magnets, smelling your jasmine oil diffuser until it made us dizzy, and visiting you at the beginning and end of any road trip. We will always remember your love of wine, party pies and a good conversation.
    Love,
    Michael and Mikayla

  18. Fiona & Bill Boers says:

How proud would Trudi have been today. Gary you were a rock. Your words were so moving and your love for Trudi was endless.
To Darren and Jason, your words for your mum were heart wrenching. I cried along with you.
Our time with Trudi was too short. From our 5pm drinks to near midnight “see you at your place for the next happy hour”
to our one and only caravan to trip to Nariel, we will always treasure.
Just know that we are only a short distance away and would be happy to be of any support that you may need.
    Much love,
    Fiona and Bill
